Real Estate Staging / Home Staging Blog

For the love of Pete... Give it a rest!

To all you sending me emails wondering why I shut my mouth... THANK you for your concern. When you have a type A personality it is hard to allow yourself time to get away. But this weekend I did.

I followed Eileen Landau's fine example and traveled over to Galena Illinios for a long weekend. (Actually I had planned this way back in July.) Galena is a little jewel of a community in the furthest NW corner of Illinois.

I slept WAY more than I expected... waking up on Satruday, having breakfast and then hitting the pillow for 2 more hours of Zzzzzzzzzz's. Then of course I had a mid afternoon nap. And was in bed by 9:30PM. THAT was a treat.

But I am back now... and I know I have some reading to catch up on here on AR.

But the moral of this blog... if you are a Type A... give it a rest.

Hey Craig,

There must be something in the air there. I took a nap while we were there...and I NEVER nap.

Wonder if the town changes type A's into mellow B's.

Did you go to Green Fried Tomatoe? Great food.

Missed you Craig, but glad you did it, it's a point well taken by me, made by both Eileen Landau and Linda Davis recently. I can only imagine how your creative juices will flow now that you have caught up on your zzz's. And thanks for putting a picture of me on your blog :-)

Fall is my time to turn into a type B.  We sight guns, weekend camp to see the leaf colors, hunt in November, turkey day (everyone sleeps), quilt retreat in December, and then it's Christmas.  Sleep, however, is seldom on the agenda!  I remember when my children hated naps and I told them someday they would covet that nap time.  The time has come for each of them  Zzzzzz's are good.

Welcome back Craig. I noticed that you hadn't blogged recently but just thought you were getting frustrated as others have.

Galena is a good getaway spot. It's great that you took time for yourself.

We missed you Craig.  Did you know that your blog was mentioned on Grow A Brain on 10/13?  Go take a look, if you didn't know.  That is so super cool!

Craig - from one Type A to another, it's really hard to 'let loose'!  I have decided that if I had 8 more hours in my day, I think that I could manage to 'hang on'!

Good for you that you took at well-earned vacation!

I might next year, but for now, I persevere!  I'm-a-crazy, I know, but I just can't let that 'parade pass me by'!  I need to get myself out there, in my little corner of the world, before the next (#126?) stager does!

"The Lovely Wife Here"

Hey Craig! Good to see you. Hope that will hold you over until next time.

A...B...C...Doesn't matter to me I am Misty!

And I never get to go any an A, no really an A personality, vacations are against his A religion. Really. I am  a recovered A and honestly believe with all my Misty heart there is no such thing as a Real Estate emergency.

Now if I could convince Broker Bryant of that maybe I could come to the Chicago and see what a staged home looks like! I really could use to get out more!
