Be careful what you ask for

Well this past week has been the busiest of my life. Hard, long and both physically and mentally exhausting. This is the one thing about staging I fear all the staging seminars are not teaching in their weekend workshops.

I woke a 3 AM 3 times this week to try to get on top of all that we are doing. I have lost count on the number of 16 hour days I put in this week.

For so long I wished to have a career like this... and now that I have it, I gotta admit I am not enjoying the dance as much as I thought. But I will NOT let one week get me down.

For in spite of it all... I am still in LOVE with this STAGING thing.  Why, because it works. So for now if I need to spend hours upon hours trying to work in and then streamline and organize my company I will. The rewards for everyone (home seller, realtor and stager) are just to wonderful.

To all the realtors on AR that use a stager... I hope you realize what all that it takes to stage a house. It is so much more than fluffing a "nic-nak." Hug your stager. OH and if you don't have a stager... get with it. This stuff works.

We have no stagers in Spring Hill, Florida! Everytime I read one of your blogs it makes me wish you lived closer to me!

think of the money. which is the reason you work hard.

Those who know me get frustrated because I am MORE about the service than the money.

I live into the famous quote and best selling book with the title of the same words by Marsha Sinetar "Do what you love and the money will follow."

I do what I do because it WORKS.

now we know better.you love money...why joke around with these people?

Dear Showmethemoney,

If you go back and read ALL that I have posted here on AR, in all that I have written in my blogging, all my words, all that I share... you will see a common thread.

I do what I do FIRST because I love doing it.

I also am willing to vocalize what I believe in this forum that reach across North America. I do this because I have created a voice here on AR that people have connected with. If I can help realtors understand the value of staging and if I can help market staging in areas I will never service... then what wrong with that?

If you do not get this or do not believe this... that is because that is the realm from which YOU operate. Do not be so bold or brash to think the rest of us operate under the same limitations of being.

I just completed a course to become an Accredited Staging Professional.  It was developed by Barb Schwarz in Bellevue Washington.  She is a great motivator.  By the second day we were practicing hands-on staging!  I would highly recommend her course.  She is a pioneer in Staging Homes for sale.

Cheryl,

I sincerly congratulate you on completing your seminar... NOW welcome to the real world.

The real world of real estate staging is full of what the real world of life is... not a cake walk, but a journey. With ups and down, questions and doubts, joys and tribulations, confusion and victory.

Motivation is wonderful in a moment... but sustaining motivation when the turkeys are trying to get you down (ie Showmethemoney's comment RIGHT above in this blog) takes something from deep within.  I call it passion.

I checked for ASP's on Long Island and found only a handful. Just think, we have over 50 cities in the wealthiest 100 of the nation and only a handful ASP's. I'm going to take the 2 day class early next year.

As I have written before "If you do what you love, you will never work another day in your life"!  I know you love what you do and that is why you are my motivator and mentor.  Don't let the "showme" people get you down...for they are just jealous.

Craig, the passion you feel for your work and so freely share with AR multiplies within us. It sure helps me stay focused on what I love the best!

I am one of the clients that Craig had sleepness nights over last week and I can say that he still did a fabulous job despite too much to do and too little time!
